Louis Walsh SHADES Cheryl Cole and Prasies Nicole

Quote:
Louis Walsh proved he is Nicole Scherzinger's biggest fan, as he praised her as the best female judge the X Factor has ever had.
The veteran talent show judge, gushed over the former Pussycat Doll, praising her "amazing" work-ethic as qualities which made her a worthy winner last year - after mentoring 2012 winner James Arthur - and giving her the potential to gain victory for the second year in a row.
The ITV talent show has seen numerous line-up changes and cat-fights between the women on the panel, which has included Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Tulisa Contostavlos and Sharon Osbourne - the latter of whom returned this year.
However Louis believes past starlets have fallen short of the mark, as he gushed to ITV.com: "Nicole is the best female Judge we have ever had on The X Factor – by a million miles!
"She has an amazing work ethic. She’s like an athlete, the way she just goes for it every day. She will always work so hard – and I love that about her. She’s going to fight. She won last year and I believe she can go all the way this year.”
After a successful debut on the UK panel last year, with both James Arthur, and her other act Jahmene Douglas in the final, Nicole returns to mentor the girls category.
Louis - who is mentoring the boys - continued: "We all have a lot of work to do – our acts are only as good as their last performance and no one is safe in this competition – a few people learned that at bootcamp. That’s the reality of it. Sharon has some incredible voices in her Overs category and Gary has some strong groups."
The 61-year-old also spoke of the grueling bootcamp stage in which contestants were put through their paces in a new 'chair swap' twist, which enabled judges to change their decisions at the last minute.
Speaking of the acts he'd chosen for his category, Louis explained: "I also have some amazing boys. Some of them sang so well at Bootcamp – but I could see there were some people wanted it more than others, and they weren't necessarily the best singers. I wanted people who wanted it and were prepared to work. I want 100%, I don’t want 99%.”
The judges will make their final decisions as to which acts will go through to the live shows next week, when X Factor returns on Saturday at 7.10pm.
