Nathan Skyes: I wanted to date Selena Gomez
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes has looked pretty loved up new girlfriend Ariana Grande - but we doubt she'll be happy after he admitted in a new interview that before he started dating the 20 year-old, he wanted to date Selena Gomez, but couldn't because of good friend Justin Bieber.
Young Hollywood is clearly a small place as the Glad You Came babe has revealed his romance with Ariana might never have been, if the Come And Get It beauty hadn't previously dated his face.
Joking in a new interview that he wanted to be linked to the 21 year-old Texan he told We Love Pop magazine: “Now this is why I’m so jealous of Max!”
“He follows someone on Twitter, then he is in the tabloids saying he is in a relationship. I started following the Selena Gomez and nothing. Where is my relationship?!”
The Wanted have previously supported Selena's ex, Justin Bieber on tour and are known to be good friends with him.
Admitting they're manager Scooter Braun, who also works with Bieber, wouldn't be happy if he broke the guy code Nathan revealed:“To be honest, I always liked Selena, but I really did not want to go that side because Justin would kill me!
”I would probably receive a call from [our manager] Scooter telling me to stay away!”
Going on to reveal his "jaw dropped" when he saw the singer at a recent Justin Timberlake concert he confessed: “I must have looked like a complete idiot.
“My friends were like, ‘Just say hi,’ but I could not even talk to her! . . . But that’s how I am, I’m very, very nervous around girls that I really like. I need to improve my game."
Nathan even goes on to admit he's pretty rubbish when it comes to girls, adding: "To be honest, I’m a garbage anyway, I would be a terrible boyfriend.”
We're pretty sure Ariana, who went public with the romance recently, won't exactly welcome these revelations.
The singer, who shares the same manager as both Nathan and Justin, has also been linked to Bieber after a picture of the star kissing her cheek was posted online.
It's quite the tangled web!
