Katy Perry opens up about dark thoughts during divorce

While Katy definitely seems happy now, it wasn't always that way.
In the same interview, the "Roar" singer opened up about her divorce from Russell Brand and the dark time she had to endure as a result.
In fact, the song "By the Grace of God" from her upcoming album 'Prism' is about exactly that.
"That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?'" she confessed. "All the songs are real life moments. I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs."
Wow, sounds intense.
We're glad Katy was able to battle through that tough time and find happiness again.
