If you were an artist how would you conduct your time? Do you think you could release 2 albums a year?

Personally I feel artists take too long to release new music, and need to be more on the ball as to speak. So let's see if we could do it better!!

It would have to be organic, I wouldn't plan it out like that.

But I guess by "artist" you mean pop star?

I would release an album every couple years I guess. When you saturate the market, it gives you more success but your brand image is cheapened I think, because people start to see that there's a machine behind your name pumping it all out

I'd release every 2 years. 3 months seems way too little time to record an album (And I mean a real album, not the 4 singles and 10 fillers)

I don't think artists take too long to release music. It takes time to find the inspiration to write, or even if you are not writing, it takes time to find the sound you want for an album to make it congruent and somehow relatable. In a perfect world, it would be amazing to release record after record, or have new music constantly from our faves, however it's important to not oversaturate the market with your music... The faster you climb on top, the faster you are gonna fall. Fame is momentary. One day you are someone, then the next day people don't give a **** about you... That's why it is important for artists to take a break from album to album, to somehow create hype or build expectations. Obviously, the same formula doesn't work for every artist, but usually that's how it goes.

It'd take me a while to release something.

I usually get a really good melody going in my head when I've just woken up, but by the time I actually get up, I forget it.

Record an album for 3 years like Adele is doing.

What do you understand about ''artist'', a singer? a full time musician? Only that?

I'm not Rihanna, I would like to have quality in my music. I would be releasing albums every 2 or 3 years, and would like to write or perform songs for movies in the meantime.

For the first album:

March: Preparation for first single (dance rehearsals / voice training / performance practice)
April: Promotion single (possible PV)
April-July: First single (performances / promotion / MV / interviews)
May-June: Preparation for succeeding performing songs / possible singles
July: Second single (promotion / MV), album promotion
August-October: Album release (post-promotion / interviews / mini-concerts / appearances)
November-June: Break from music

For second album (starting next year):

At the most I'd probably release one LP and one EP a year.

I would release every 4 years to keep the bitches seething.

I think I could get the hang of producing my own music after a few years. It tends to get easier and easier constructing your vision autonomously, because I see what I want and I know what to click to make it happen. I've never found it simple working in collaborative situations because of miscommunication and having to relay instructions to different people at different times. That will take some time.

I feel at my full language capacity after I've read a novel or two. I'd like to work conceptually and select a theme before I'm forward with songwriting, so that would take a while. I would need a message that's profound to underlie my work - I don't want it to be vapid. I'd need to watch a few films to help me think. I'd say:

January: Writing first non-single track (taking into account finding inspiration, like reading novels, watching films, listening to other music).
February: Writing first non-single track.
March: Writing second non-single track. (I would work on non-single tracks just to get my brain working. It would get better as I keep building it).
April: Write what I intend to be the first single (so it's less abstract than the rest).
May: First single.
June: First single.
July: Storyboard the music video for the first single, and the aesthetic so far.
August: Writing third non-single track.
September: Writing third non-single track. Play around with drawing some album artworks. I need a title.
October: Develop a sound for the non-single tracks.
November: Plan some promo, and how I intend to get myself known. I'm still reading and finding inspiration from other artists.
December: Probably scrap if it's not good enough. Or, write the second single, then continue with quality non-single tracks so I can select a third single by next year.

I'm an artist tho. Just not a recording artist.

I would release an album once in 2 years, changing my style with every album. And would shoot videos for non-single songs/fan favorites too.

After 3 albums, I would take a 2 years break and start my acting career.

And I would tour oftenly. I really like perfroming, singing and dancing my ass off ..

August - November: 50-date WW tour, record for re-release.
November: first single release for re-release.
December: re-release release (that sounded weird), 1st single mv
February: 2nd single release
March: 2nd single mv, break.
