Your house gets washed away in a flood. Was it affected by a flood, or was it the flooding effect??? There is no difference. Rolling affects every song, every song has a rolling effect. There really isn't a difference. All your quote is talking about is the "big"rolling that is affected by a song that has a radio deal in it's first week.

"Rolling" is consider the normal updates.. "Rolling Effect" refers to the first two weeks usually regrading a radio deal or payola..

No. "Rolling effect" is more general than that. It just describes the effect of updates changing/differing from the norm because of the LOSS of the previous week's update... because the chart "rolls" along a 7 day period.

rolling takes a toll on a song whenever it gains big. Basically, a big radio update its the song's enemy the same day next week, if it rebounds positively then it means it got a bigger update, but rolling takes effect. Meaning that had there not been rolling the update would be big. Applause inspiring threads and educating

No, I read it just fine, you're just wrong. I've been following radio for 5 years now, I think I know what I'm talking about. You're just under the wrong impression, because rolling effect is most talked about after the first week, but that doesn't mean it only pertains to the effects after the first week. Rolling effect is constant after the 8th day, and doesn't just magically stop when the second week is over. You're just obviously very misinformed.

And I work at a radio station and go to school at a record label.. Your point? Pretty sure someone who actually works in the field would know more than someone who follows it
