Well, she said that if she released that song in US, it would be overplayed and lost its own "meaning".
...I have to disagree with her statement. I guarantee that this song wouldn't have been overplayed, but it would have had an impact.
Then as for the 2nd part of the statement, I would like to pop-quiz/challenge Belgium (where the song was @ #1 on their charts) to see if most of their pop-music listening citizens can explain the aspects of this song in light of the Bush Administration in a neutral perspective.
In hand, the TRUE meaning behind this single would be better highlighted if she released it in the nation where this song is mainly addressing. I sense a "fear" factor behind this move on Pink or the label's part. But then again, she could change her mind about it later this year...
