They wanted to have the best reviewed game of the year. They wanted to have the biggest game of the year. And now they wanted to change the industry with a female character. I think people would have found it a bit creepy if they did sexualize a little girl. I guess they didn't care when they made those two chicks in the uncharted games.

They NEVER said they wanted EITHER of those things. They actually said they were extremely hesitant about whether the game would have any commercial success, but kept going because they were making the game they wanted to make. Sharing the story that they wanted to share.
