Celeb News: Kimberley Walsh slams Nadine Coyle

Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she only ever bonded with two of her four bandmates, Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts. In her new autobiography A Whole Lot of History she said that bandmate Nadine Coyle was difficult to work with.

She said of Nadine and fifth bandmate Sarah Harding: ‘They‘re just very different from me and I don’t always understand where they’re coming from.’

She said that during the band's time together Nadine angered the rest of the girls by taking on her own manager and pursuing a solo career in LA.

The Shrek the Musical star said the band felt ‘sucker-punched’ in 2009 when they discovered without warning that Nadine had taken on a solo manager, Bruce Garfield.

The 31-year-old said that Nadine's ambitions were hard to accept for the rest of the group, who were not at that time considering solo careers.

Kimberley explained: ‘We'd known for some time that her loyalties didn't really lie with the group any more, and we also knew we couldn't force her to stay.'

In March this year, the band decided to go their separate ways after 11 years together and end Girls Aloud with a final tour.

Kimberley criticised Nadine's reaction to the break-up, saying that she ‘point blank refused' to a press release to let fans know of the news.

The announcement was made on Twitter, with Nadine taking a opposite stance to the rest of the band by tweeting that she had wanted the group to continue.

Kimberley said: ‘It was quite a hard pill to swallow because she never said such a thing to the rest of us, and splitting up was what we’d always planned.’

Also, why was Nadine going solo a problem but Cheryl going solo not at problem? I love Cheryl but it seems hypocritical

Wasn't Cheryl's solo album released in late 2009? She had also been on X Factor since 2008.

Ugh. This is just messy. And really, I love all five but how can you be mad at Nadine when Cheryl had three solo albums during same time ?? I hate public call outs. So petty.

I always wonder about drama behind the scenes with groups like this. Five women who were put together are not going to get along perfectly for 10 years, especially with the temptations of a solo career.

Because it clearly says THEY WERE NOT PERSUING SOLO CAREERS AT THE TIME.

Cheryl did it before Nadine because she actually had a label to back her up. And she released 3 album because she had success. Nadine clearly was not here for GA and thought she could make it solo. Once she flopped, I think she didnt wanna break up because her solo career failed.

Cuz Cheryl and Kimberley got along with each other a lot. Not a problem for the friend to do things but totally not cool if your co-worker does?

I doubt any GA fan is surprised by this, but honestly some of the stuff I've read in The Daily Mail and elsewhere about Kimba's opinion on Nadine and Sarah actually tick me off.
