She was considered to be a brat. Plain and simple.
From her diva attitude to her hero worship of Cheryl Cole, bad behaviour and sulking ways, Cher Lloyd was considered to be the worst X Factor contestant ever - something many of her co-stars agreed with.
And there appeared to a collective sigh of relief when the youngster packed her bags and upped sticks to the grand ol' US of A, let them deal with her, we thought, take her off our hands!
But Cher Lloyd has had the last laugh.
The pop star has matured to become a rather lovely young lady and become rather well-known across the Pond in the process.
Tonight she starts her first tour of North America and says that not only does Los Angeles life agree with her, but she feels a lot happier in her life.
But she admitted that she looks back on her X Factor days with regret and would love the chance to prove to her critics in Blighty that she's a much different girl now.
Cher was 16 when she took part in the X Factor in 2010 and told You Generation that she regrets a lot of things about that time.
Speaking to You Generation, she said: "My X Factor days... I was an absolute nightmare. And I think I've left a bit of a sour taste in some people's mouths. I was 16 then, I'm 20 now. When I look back now on the person I was before, I'm disappointed."
And she would love for the UK to see her now and see if they still think she's the nightmare that she was before she left.
"The problem is, because I haven't been in the UK for such a long time, people haven't seen me grow up and be the person I am today," she said. "They haven't seen that complete change as a person.

"I've got a massive urge to go back to the UK and just be like, 'I'm so sorry for being such a pillock and please let me give you my music on a serious level and let you make your opinion of me then."
Cher shot to the top of the charts in July 2011 with her debut song Swagger Jagger and her first album Sticks + Stones peaked at number four.
She is working on her second album, which has yet to have been given a release date, and said it differs greatly from her first one.
She explained: "On the first album I had acquired quite a lot of young fans while I was on the X Factor so everything had to stay, you know (pulls face to imply straight and clean). But now on the second album, I've grown up a lot and I can't talk about a lot of the subjects that I used to talk about because I've grown up and it just doesn't relate to me. So I feel the second album is a lot more grown-up and some it's quite heart-touching and I think many people might think I wasn't into that."
Cher also said some of the tracks will be acoustic and added: "I wanted to show people what I could actually do. Although I love all the rappy stuff and messing around lyrically, it's just good to have a little cry."
She wasn't even bad on the X Factor
or was it just bad press?
I watched X Factor but am not from the UK so I wouldn't know exactly how she was received
I knew they dragged her but I thought Kate Vogel got it the worst.

THE PRESS, Im sure Cher was not the nicest person but the press was so mean to her.
