Why would it sound silly that Rock Mafia who have had great success with Selena, write a song specifically for her new album? It is difficult to articulate songs and what they are about and few people have the talent for describing a track to others as accurately as possible. Selena gets a feeling about what sounds good and goes by instinct and works well with producers. You can have all the knowledge in the world about music and how it is made and what buttons they twiddle in the studio, but it won't make a difference if you can't feel it. I have seen many big music reviewers struggle in writing a song review and they end up just citing the producers and what the song is about lyrically. We can all agree that one song is brilliant, but few can say clearly what it is that makes a song so great. Some do a great job, others are rather vague, and some people just jump up and down excited about the sound of something. So no need to be harsh on Selena. What matters to me is that she is feeling what she is singing, more than clever, studio language. Read article below, but I didn't know you wanted her be so verbal on these terms for regular viewers, and lots of big artists don't pen anything onto paper. Why do they have to write unless skilled, when we have amazing songwriters/poets out there and should use them. IDK...

Discussing music and recording is a lot like trying to dance "architecture". What does "warm" mean? How do you make something sound more "purple"?
