I don't think she is hating on Katy tbh, even though it was Missy's verse, they basically used the 'Katy Perry kissing on girls" thing in the Whatcha Think About That video and all.
Nicole is just not with the current time for the most part, she could tweet about a current single one second and then tweet about a recently dicovered track by her from last year.
Despite that, Nicole mainly has tweeted about either religious songs, songs by Prince or inspirational songs and Brave fits in that last category.
You give Nicole far too much credit for being shady, she even sugarcoated her supposed shade towards the other dolls, Lilly Allen and other stars that either shaded or disliked her through media
although they weren't judges during the same season(s)
