two jobs

1.Work at Mabe[its 40% related to my major]
Payment:180 dollars per montn
Hours:20 per week from 4pm to 8pm

2.Work at HSBC[has nothing to do with my major]
Payment:450 dollars per month
hours:36 hours,from 4pm to 10 pm

i'm just trying to find a job while i'm stills studying..which one sould i take?

Payment: 800 a month around
Hours: 30 to 35, 4 to 5 days a week

i live in a third world country...cheap workers...that sucks

Urm..the first job's pay kinda sucks but u know something about it and can be quite useful for ur studies and the 2nd job is has quite good pay but has nothing to do with ur studies.Hmm...if i were u,i'll choose the 2nd one.U'll learn something diferent.and the pay is good.

I would definitely choose the 1st one. While the pay sucks, it will give you experience in your area: something necessary when you apply for a job.
The HSBC job might seem better now, but it won't give you anything in the long run.

I would also pick the first one, unless you won't make enough money with it.

I would choose the one that would benefit me the most (the one that involves my career choice), so that way, you already have experience, even though it's low pay, you still learn about something that you want to do.

Here i was winning 647 dlls a month in a call center for 1 800. And it was easy. Tho it was 48 hours, but i had internet and time to do my homework. And i left it, i feel kinda stupid now.

In the other hand, if you don't need the money choose the first option and that way your parents won't say you're lazy and they'll give u money

first one, like everyone already said its related to your major so that always help + more time for your studies, go first.

gosh 470 dollars! damn...i'll try to find a job where english is required but i just can't find anything...the best thing that i found that was and a job in Italian Coffe shop, 17 dollars per day for 7 hours

People have given good advice in this thread and I agree with most of it.

35-40 hours a week is usually full time employment - you need to decide whether that amount wold affect your studies e.g. wold it make you tired and would you have enough time for homework.

It also depends on how much employers in your area or areas you would like to work in demand experience. In some areas, many employers have entry level positions wher eyou can ge trained and work yor way up but others want experience before even applying and sometimes they want too much experience for the job. You probably wont have to worry abot having too much experience because once you finish studying you will probably go for higher paid jobs. So do some research and find out what kind of experience employers are looking for and how much.

If you don't pay rent and are not on any kind of benefits you can probably work more then part time (but remember to compare it with your study/personal time) and the amont you earn probably wont be as important as the experience and hours. But once you have decided the best hours and type of job that is best for you, it will be down to getting a job that pays as fairly as possible and one that you will be ok doing. It would be harder doing a job with all the things you want, but that you hated doing every week.
