It's so hard being a prep in predominately ratchet school. I'm President of my school's Student Council, so I (with the help of the other officers) devised a list of Spirit Days for Homecoming Week that the larger StuCo group would vote on. And one of those days was Preppy Day, where the ratchet h**s would trade their leopard print and cut-off shirts for polos and Sperrys. It would have been a pleasant change, even for a day.
But when this idea was proposed to the larger group, I received a resounding no. And there went my plans of making the student body classy for a day
Omg preppy guys
But not the ones in my county tho. They're all really ghetto hicks that TRY to be preppy and think they look 10x better than they actually do

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Some people need to realize that class can't be bought, no matter how many Polos and LV bags you own.
Are preppy guys basically how fratty guys dress now or is that something different? lol Where do you all buy clothes btw?
I LOVE this store called J. Crew. It's the perfect blend of preppy + modern + sophisticated. I wish their prices were just a tad bit lower though.
I used to love to shop in Banana Republic, but to me, it seems as if (for men at least) that they've become extremely basic in their styles and colors.
And I like Gap for certain things. I don't do all of their styles, since some are more rock oriented, but some of their stuff is nice.
But waiTTTT I just looked at J. Crew. Their prices
I usually only buy cute and semi-inexpensive things. My shirts are usually 30-50 dollars and my jeans are usually 40 and up. I won't go past 70 for jeans though. Unless they're gorgeous.

I only shop J Crew when they're having a sale. If you don't they're really expensive. But it's not hard to find one, because they're almost always running promotions. Right now, they're having a promo where you take an extra 30% off all of their sale items. So I was able to get this really nice $80 sweater for about $40.
My mall has Belk,Macy's Banana Republic, J. Crew, An ACTUAL Sperry Store ,Rack Room (for Sperrys),Urban Outfitters and there is a Plato's ($10-15 Polos) right up the street from there too. There's also a Sperry Outlet at the outlets two counties to my east

I think TJMaxx sells polos for $30 as well.
You're in a prime business area for prep gear I see!
