Children of Men is a 2006 dystopian thriller film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, based on P.D. James's novel The Children of Men. The film depicts a bleak dystopia, in which no human child has been born for 18 years, human extinction looms, and violence reigns. The plot centers on Great Britain, which has become a police state.

I saw this the day it came out last friday. I actually enjoyed it . The beginning was very slow and boring but it gets really good toward the middle. The war scenes were just intense. I thought I was playing a video game almost. That's how real it felt. I hated the ending though...It wasn't has bad has it looked.
I actually almost fell asleep a third in to the movie (not cause it was boring, but because it was kind of slow and I was tired), but then it got REALLY intense for the last hour or so. I loved the ending... *SPOILER*
It wasn't too happy... you didn't see everyone rejoicing and everything for the new child, nor was it too sad... the baby/Kii didn't die.
