Despite recently reporting that music producer Dr. Luke will be joining Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez for the reality TV gig, a source confirms to E! News that the celeb will no longer be a part of the Fox show due to conflict of interest. We're told that the music bigwig has since backed out given the amount of time the show requires and his other substantial commitments.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news, Dr. Luke (real name: Lukasz Gottwald), signed a lucrative label deal with Sony Music in 2011, which creates a problem because he would be developing talent for Universal Music Group, Sony's competitor, as a judge on American Idol.
