Okay, Confessions was a moderate hit in the US and a major hit everywhere else in the world, topping the charts in a record 40 countries blah blah blah..
I never was a big fan of this album. I loved Hung Up and liked a few other tracks but the whole 70s thing didn't catch on with me.
Plus the Confessions videos SUCK (except Get Together but too bad no one watched it).
Plus Madonna didn't put in much effort in promoting the album (Yes, I know Madonna fans are going to kill me coz she had a major tour, kids to look after so who gives a rats us about party appearances, interviews and such... But still! It seemed like she didn't put her best into it
I'd love to see Madonna do rock. Electronica would be fine. But no Dance for crying out loud! She's always had at least some element of dance in her albums and after Confessions it would be OVERLOAD
A friend of mine had all the Re-Invention tour studio remixes (god knows how he got that stuff). Most of those tracks had a rock sound to it. And they rock!
It's kinda like rock with a bit of pop. I think Madonna would be great doing that
