The music channel and Pepsi have teamed up to promote a chance to win VIP passes for a “special, exclusive VMA performance at an iconic Brooklyn location” - which happens to be the Barclays Centre - through a fan competition on Twitter.
The contest post on Facebook doesn’t give any details away about who will be delivering the exclusive VMA performance, but MTV later posted a photo of a VMA propped comfortably on a chair bearing the logo of ‘The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour’ during Beyonce’s stop at the Barclays Centre this week.
The caption read: “Heeeeey Mrs. Carter! Snuck backstage at @Beyonce’s @BarclaysCenter show for a little peek of the #VMA venue! No sleep til 8/25. #RoadToTheVMAs #BeyGood.”
The suggestive photo led many fans to speculate that Beyonce just might return to Barclays Centre stage as part of this year’s growing list of VMA show performers.
Artists already scheduled to perform at the upcoming show include Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
Many Bey fans will be hoping the star will be added to the elite of entertainers at this year’s event which is live on August 25.
