OK I love Nelly Furtado don't get me wrong but I always wondered if Aaliyah were alive today do you think that song Promiscuous would have belong to her? I mean it's produced by Timbaland and Timbaland was very close with Aaliyah. I honesly think Aaliyah would have done a great job with this song it would have been really hot if she had done it too. Now I'm not saying that Nelly doesn't do a good with this song she does do a good job with this song and shes really hot in the video I'm just wondering if this song would have belong to Aaliyah if she were alive instead of Nelly.

I don't think so, it doesn't seem like her style. I do think that whatever songs her and Tim would have done would be way better than Promiscuous.

Well, it seemed that Aaliyah wasn't depending too much on Timbaland at the end. I mean, I think there were just like 2 or 3 Tim songs on "Aaliyah"

^ yeah but they were planning to work together more after she was done with her movies etc... And between One in a Million and Aaliyah he produced a lot of songs for her, but she was also on a lot of songs featuring her that he produced for other artists. (Missy, Ginuwine, himself) So even though he only had 3 songs on Aaliyah, they did do a lot of songs together not too long before then. They also executive produce dthe Romeo Must Die soundtrack together the year before.

The style of the song doesn't seem like Aaliyah material. I don't think that Aaliyah would have ever done such a, I guess you would say raunchy song like that. I love Nelly Furtado and Aayliyah and I think that both of their respective careers kind of reflect who they are and I don't think Aaliyah would do a song like that.
