Stone Roses Entire Debut Album Recreated By The Flaming Lips, New Fumes, Foxygen, Polica, Stardeath, Peaking Lights, Kesha and Other Fwends – Possibly Out Next Week
It’s not intended to replace or improve upon the original LP; it’s technically not even a Flaming Lips side project or being released on a label. “It’s mostly just for my own dumb entertainment – we only make 500 copies…” Coyne explained to Rock it Out! Blog at this year’s SXSW. Presumably the other artists that appear on the new record – Foxygen, Polica, Peaking Lights, Kesha, most of the artist on Playing Hide and Seek and more – were stupidly entertained as well, as will be their fans.
As for Kesha, she guests on “Elizabeth My Dear.” Stay tuned for The Future Heart’s soon to be published update on Lip$ha, The Flaming Lips album with K$. In the meantime, watch Coyne and K duet last September backed by Ben Folds Five.
