p.s. if you don't know what a drone is, they are automatically flown aircrafts by the U.S government to hit suspected terrorists in Pakistan, Palestine and Yemen. Advantages: no U.S troops have to fly to these countries. Disadvantages: they've "accidentally" killed more innocent civilians than actual terrorists. They cost $8 million to make per-drone. They are upsetting poor and uneducated family members - of innocent civilians who were accidentally killed - who then become terrorists and want to avenge for their innocent loss, thus creating more room for terrorism to expand. Obama and the U.S administration are in complete denial of its disadvantages.

It's undeniable- known extremists are being killed as a result of this technology. Call me right-wing, but I believe that's a good thing.

It costs money to feed, arm, maintain and care for the wellbeing of a troop; in terms of the wider scale and number of troops that's millions and millions and millions. Over time, the net gains from drones vs. troops will start to work itself out so the financial debate is null and void.

Innocent civilians are going to be killed regardless of if drones are used or if drones aren't used. Bombs, grenades, guns and more controlled by a human are liable to human error. That makes the "avenging" debate null and void in my eyes too. Not using drones doesn't mean innocent lives won't be taken.

The only way to stop the rage and bad feeling as a result of war is to stop the war.

The argument shouldn't be drones vs no drones, it should be war vs no war.

The success rate for drones is remarkably low, IIRC it's less than 5%.

So yeah, they get a no from me.

I worked with an organization called CODEPINK, founded by Medea Benjamin, the woman who interrupted Obama in his speech about the issue. We interviewed families of the innocent victims & it's mind-numbing, if the "Yes" voters had been present they would rethink their thought. It's such a sad, capitalist system.
