I vote Yes, but their usage, design and execution need improvements.
It's undeniable- known extremists are being killed as a result of this technology. Call me right-wing, but I believe that's a good thing.
It costs money to feed, arm, maintain and care for the wellbeing of a troop; in terms of the wider scale and number of troops that's millions and millions and millions. Over time, the net gains from drones vs. troops will start to work itself out so the financial debate is null and void.
Innocent civilians are going to be killed regardless of if drones are used or if drones aren't used. Bombs, grenades, guns and more controlled by a human are liable to human error. That makes the "avenging" debate null and void in my eyes too. Not using drones doesn't mean innocent lives won't be taken.
The only way to stop the rage and bad feeling as a result of war is to stop the war.
The argument shouldn't be drones vs no drones, it should be war vs no war.
