Don't tell Rihanna: Fans more Crazy in Love with Beyonce as V Festival demand doubles

Online ticket marketplace viagogo has revealed that demand for tickets to see the former Destiny's Child star is outstripping 2011’s headliner Rihanna by 2:1.

Furthermore, ticket searches for this year’s festival are 83 per cent higher than at the same time in 2012, when Nicki Minaj took to the main stage alongside The Killers and Snow Patrol.

viagogo spokesperson Steve Roest comments: “Fans who missed out on seeing Beyonce’s UK tour earlier this year are desperate to catch a glimpse of their hero at V Festival. The singer is well-known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to her live gigs and the current demand suggests her rivals will need to go that extra mile if they want to steal her crown at next year’s festival.”

It's funny how they say this seeing as Emeli and Calvin harris are MUCH bigger than beyonce in the UK like we can see in the numbers, when Rihanna performed she was the only relevant one, another late magazine that thinks we are still in 2009 and is all up beyonces ass

Hmm, I just checked to confirm my suspicions and none of Bey's tour stops sold out in the UK, so I feel like this is just another fake "demand" article released by her press team. If the demand was so big, she would've sold out her tour dates.

Just like rihanna her 10 o2 dates didn't sell out even tho it was reported as "record breaking" clearly they added tickets at the very last minute.

As long as Rihanna keeps getting million sellers in both albums and singles department in UK, selling out stadiums and etc I don't think she's upset about some festivals, but good for B!

But both Calvin and Emeli are not really performers like Beyoncé. I mean it is something for someone like BEYONCÉ to headline V festival. I mean I don't see Emeli or Calvin doing 6 shows at the O2 Arena.
