Soul Singer Jessie J speaks out! taking a break from twitter
Jessie J has admitted that she is taking time out from social networking site Twitter, saying that the intensity of it is "a lot to stomach".
The star debuted her new single 'It's My Party' yesterday, but has downsized her activity on the microblogging site over recent days, appearing only to share snaps on Instagram.
Speaking to Inemand about the new single - which is inspired by trolls - she said: "It's a lot to stomach. I'm taking a break from Twitter at the moment.
"I think life is about choices... I think negativity is a choice. I'm just trying to make people see that being miserable is not the way forward in life. Everyone should just get on and have a party!"
And on the subject of 'haters', she mused: "A lot of the time the haters - I hate calling them haters but that's the easiest way to sum it up - they need love more so than anyone else.
"There's a reason they have that. I don't think hate does anything for the world. It doesn't do any good. I wanted to make sure I had a song that represented what I'm about."
Jessie's new tune serves as the second cut from her as-yet-untitled album, which is due later this year. It follows the Top 5 smash 'Wild', which has sold more than 300,000 copies in the UK alone and topped the charts in four countries.
On the music video for 'It's My Party', she yesterday teased: "It's basically me having parties. Three very different parties that I kind of bring together as one big party.
"There's some cameos in there, some of my best mates in there. It's a fun video where it's just me being silly. A lot of humour."
