BodyPump: Fitness Classes Choreographed to Pop Music
Does anyone else on here take these classes at your local gym? Each class is an hour long and consists of ten tracks of weightlifting exercises choreographed to popular music. Each track targets a different muscle group (while the first track is a warm up and the last is a cool down). They put out new releases with new music four times a year.
I've been trying to get in better shape this summer, and by dancing working my way through these classes, I've really built a lot of muscle and toned up my body in a short amount of time.
Yes, twice a week. It's slick because you're doing all these reps, but it's to music, so it's more tolerable. I'm up to 60lbs on squat track, 20lbs chest, 15 triceps, about 45 back, 15 biceps, 30 lunge, and I'm doing guy push-ups in the shoulder track. When I started last year, I could barely do half of that. So, I've come a long way.
