Video Games: The Last of Us Sequel essentially confirmed

On Reddit, The Last of Us creative and game director's from Naughty Dog hosted a chat with fans where they would answer their questions regarding the greatest game of all time. Here is one of the questions, with their answer.

Q: "Will there ever be more story content from the universe that Ellie and Joel live in centering around the two characters?"

A: "It's possible. We're playing with some ideas, but no direction has been set yet for the next game."

By saying "no direction has been set for the next game", he is implying that there WILL BE A NEXT GAME.

I'm pretty curious to see how NaughtyDog will outdo Last of Us. Usually sequels don't hold up well against their predecessors.

For sure though, I'm definitely buying a PS3 to play LoU.

Compare Uncharted to Uncharted 2. The first one is trash, compared to the sequel. I have no doubts that they will be able to outdo The Last of Us, it will be a very difficult task, but I know they can do it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about their Uncharted series. In general though outside of a few outstanding developers like ND, it's somewhat a hit or miss.

Agree, Naughty Dog stand out from the crowd as the best developers of this generation.

The sequel isn't too soon... it will likely be released in 2015.
The Uncharted series had 2 years in between each, and it wasn't too early.

Don't make me scalp you. The vita can die in the nearest dumpster where it belongs.
