They have that show in my country too and they do blackface all the time. It's not that big of a deal here.

You have to realize that outside of the United States, blackface isn't a big deal.

The idea that "blackface = racist" is an American ideal. Don't try to force it upon other cultures and countries.

There are lots of things that Americans find perfectly normal that other countries would be offended by, too.

Not really. Like I said, the idea that blackface = racist is an AMERICAN thing. Other countries (obvioiusly Greece) don't observe the same ideals or beliefs.

There was a case a few years back of a group re-creating the Jackson 5 in blackface on some Australian reality TV show... Americans picked up on that and got all offended while the Australians were like "what's the big deal?"

Where was the outrage over White Chicks?
