Yeah that works. Print Screen then copy and paste into a Paint or any other picture program then save it has a .jpg and upload it to whatever site you use.
I don't generally use caps, but there is a way to make them that I know of.
Programs Required
- Internet (although I think that goes without saying if you visit this website)
- Microsoft Paint
Steps:
1. Open up the internet
2. Go to a website that plays music videos in good quality (YouTube's an easy one)
3. Play the music video you would like a cap from.
4. Plan exactly what frame of the video you would like your cap to come from.
5. When the video gets to that frame, hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard (It's on the top row to the right of F12)
6. Open up Microsoft Paint.
7. Hit CTRL + V on your keyboard. A screen grab of the entire website you were playing your video in should come up.
8. Click on the Select Tool (The symbol is a rectangle with a dotted outline)
9. Use the Select Tool to cut around the still-image of the music video (hit delete when you've found a portion of your screen grab that you do not want included in your cap)
10. You should be down to a "chunk" of the music video, which includes what you want your cap to focus in on.
11. Use the Select Tool to select the ENTIRE "chunk" and move it to the top left-hand corner of the Paint Document.
12. At this time, decide what exact part of the "chunk" you want to have as the focus of your cap.
14. Use the Select Tool once more to cut off mostly everything that is above and to the left of your focus.
15. Hit CTRL + E on your keyboard (alternatively, click on Image at the top of the document, then click on Attributes in the menu).
16. A screen should come up that has two boxes (one for Width and another for Height).
17. Make sure the bubble next to "Pixels" is selected.
18. Enter numbers into the Width and Height boxes (play around with it until you are happy with the cap you have).
19. If you enter numbers that don't give you the result you want, hit CTRL + Z to undo what you have done and open up the Attributes window to try again.
20. When you have the cap you want, save your image (I find it works better if I save my images as a JPEG).
21. Upload them to your server (photobucket.com is reliable for me).
22. Congratulations.
Lol here is my attempt at Nelly Furtado's Say It Right caps. It's horrible don't laugh to hard. It's from Youtube so the quality wasn't that great and it's hard to stop it at the right moment. Using quicktime works a lot better for this.
And another one, Jojo "Too Little Too Late" Hey I'm getting better at this I should start
