Miley announced the news in an interview recently saying, "When we get to a hundred million we are going to try to put out a special edition. I don't know if you have seen the video but it's pretty crazy, so an even crazier version of the director's cut [will be released] as soon as we get to a hundred million."
Sure enough, less than 24 hours ago the video reached the target, and in response Miley tweeted:
“Holding a new record! 100 million views! Directors cut coming Monday”
