I'm thinking of moving to Oregon and was wondering if any fellow ATRL'ers have lived/live there (specifically south) and what it's like?
(I want to be close to Cali)

I lived in Tillamook for a bit and the area was really pretty and the people were great. I was there for about a year, so I got a feeling for it.

I spent another 5 months in Portland and about a year in Astoria. The Northern Coastal portion of the state is really. The Southern portion of the state is still visually incredible. I would recommend it. The quality of people is just incredible.

I think Katie (the mod) lives in Oregon.

I live in Seattle, and I usually go to Oregon several times a year. I LOVEEEE Portland. The Oregon coast is pretty too. I know you want to be close to California, but southern Oregon is the pits. Don't move there. Also, most of Northern Cali is pretty bland too.

EDIT: Southern Oregon along the coast is BEAUTIFUL. But, if you go inland, that's where things get boring fast.
