Taylor Swift was forced to cancel a meet and greet competition after a "creepy" 39-year-old man won.
The singer had teamed up with Boston's Kiss FM to find her 'Biggest Fan', but the contest was hijacked by online community 4chan.
Earlier in the month, a 4chan user appealed to the community to help his 39-year-old friend Charles achieve his dream of meeting Swift.
"My creepy 39-year-old friend named Charles would like to crush all those girls' dreams (and then sniff Taylor Swift's hair cos he's into that) by winning this instead," he stated.
"Help him crush the dreams of these girls and give him a chance to make a complete ass of himself by blatantly just sniffing her hair with the cameras rolling."
Charles's entry immediately shot up the online rankings and he quickly topped the leaderboard, reports Gawker.
However, it has not been clarified if Charles is a real person, or a fictional character created as part of the online hoax.
Boston's Kiss FM were forced to pull the competition, saying that the process had been "compromised".
"Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the 'Taylor Swift's Biggest Fan' contest has been compromised," they stated.
"In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated. We apologise to all of our loyal listeners who have participated." (source)

Btw...the contest was axed by the radio station not Taylor. Taylor most likely does not even know this ever happened. She has a team for things like that. .
