Lola's new single "I Can't Take It" (Scott Storch)

Since her first single "No Strings (Let's Have Sex)" is reaching the end of it's global travels, Lola's next single is going to be "I Can't Take It" produced by Scott Storch. It's the only track on her album that she didn't co-write but apparently she loves it anyway. It's a bit more raw sounding that alot of Scott's recent stuff, not trying to sound too perfect or overproduced. You can hear it on Lola's official website. Lemme know what you lot think.

She's a good singer, but wow, with titles like "No String (Lets Have Sex)" and "Take It Like I Give It" and singing about how she doesn't even know him and how all she thinks about is sex.... well she's a ***** with a capital W.

I think her songs are mostly from her vivid imagination. She is in a committed relationship. Loads of people think about having random sex but wouldn't actually do it. There is another song on her MySpace called "If It's With A Girl" that also tackles a provocative subject, speaking of men thinking they can get around but expect their girls to stay put. She's open about sex, but I like that. I can't stand some of these artists going around in next to nothing whilst preaching about God... one extreme with another. Lola is a fairly covered up artist compared to many others, hehe!

I recently saw Lola sing live at a Chicago Rock Café venue in Chelmsford, Essex. She only did a quick stop after doing the massive G-A-Y club in London the night before. I managed to be front and centre to watch her perform, and when I messaged her on MySpace she wrote me back and totally remembered me. She's so nice and really puts in the effort write back when she can. There's not alot of artists that bother to reply... new or even unsigned artists can be reluctant to post, but Lola is a lovely girl and tells me what she's getting up to and asks me many things as well. I hope she becomes really big 'cause she is fantastic live with a great voice, and she's not afraid to be provocative. Go LOLA!

I love Lola.She is a really good soulful singer.And so what if her songs are about sex,everyone else sings about it too,or hints around it.At leasts she gets to the point.I just wish that she would release her CD already!!!!!!!It was supposed to be released last winter!!!!!! I can't wait for her CD and it BETTER not get shelved.

Yeah, I've been told that the album is still in the works. She's spent alot of time in France lately, writing and stuff. I think her album is now due late 2006 / early 2007 but I'm not sure. I know, it better not be shelved.

Some people really do try to take the piss! I've found a 12" single of "I Can't Take It" for ***$34.99*** right here! I love the song but I'm not that desperate for ANY track.
