Daughtry comes out with a fiery album that brings a thunderous rock presence to today's music scene. Featuring as the band's lead singer, Chris Daughtry, the man who blew fans away on American Idol with his memorable rock performances, Daughtry's debut album features original and co-written songs with a plethora of some of the biggest names in rock! The album was produced by Howard Benson, best known for his work with Hoobastank, My Chemical Romance, Hinder and Flyleaf.

I remember when Fuel officially announces the departure of Brett Scallions as lead vocalist, Daughtry was offered to become the lead singer of the band.

I'm not sure about the other stores but the only store I know of right now that has an exclusive is wal-mart. If you buy the album there you get 2 bonus tracks.

I listened to this CD 3-4 times through while driving to and from home this week. I'm a little dissapointed about the LP (Granted I haven't heard my Wal-Mart bought copy yet which has 2 bonus tracks), but I love it overall. It's not Over, Home, and a couple other tracks should easily do well on the charts. (if released to stations/channels)
I hope this one opens up with at least 50 K sold. (But my realistic instinct is telling me Daughtry will likely be opening @ 80K+ copies sold with the promo he's done on TV)

Yes, Its good. But if youre a fan of country-pop stuffs like Carrie, yuo will love that for sure.

Well, I'm going to get Daughtry's album around Xmas, maybe, I like It's Not Over.

Here is my review. This is an album you have to buy NOT download!

1. It's Not Over - 10/10: I really love this song. It's a great first single and really gets the album off to a great start.

2. Used To - 10/10: Reminds me of a max martin/Dr.Luke song, but that's a good thing. The song is just a great song to sing along to.

3. Home - 10/10: Chris wrote this song by himself and he wrote it before American Idol. So it proves he had great talent before AI. My favorite part is after the bridge but before the final chorus. It is a powerful song and I think anyone can relate to it. I believe it will be the 2nd single.

4. Over You - 10/10: This is another sing along song. After I listen to the song, I just can't get it out of my head. One of the highlights of the album!! I especially like the breakdown of the final chrous after the guitar solo.

5. Crashed - 10/10: I admit, if I had given this review last week, I would have probably given this song a 7 or 8 out of 10. But this song is a fast grower. The chorus is very rock and again, like "Over You", I like the breakdown after the bridge when chris sings "Then I crashed into you" then the music kicks in.

6. Feels Like Tonight - 9/10: This is one of two songs on the album that Chris didn't write. It was written by Max Martin, Dr. Luke and Shep Solomon. Like "Used To" it reminds me of a Max Martin/Dr. Luke song. It's a really great rock ballad.

7. What I Want (Featuring Slash) - 20/10: That's right! My favorite track on the album. This is the song you need to have at full blast. This is the most hard rock song on the album and Chris sounds great. especially right before the guitar solo and during the final chorus, when he starts to scream the lyrics. Slash has a great guitar solo. If you're not sure about buying the album, this song will hopefully change your mind. Sadly, it's the shortest song on the album, but it's the best. I can't give it enough praise. Great job Chris!!!!!!

8. Breakdown - 10/10: You would think it would be hard to follow up a great song like "What I Want", but this song shows it's not. The first chorus has chris hitting some high notes, but then the later chorus' are more rock and it all builds to a great final chorus that rocks out. Great song. It's another song Chris wrote by himself.

9. Gone - 8/10: This is probably my least favorite song, but I still like it. I'll probably grow on me though. The chorus is good. This is the 3rd and last song on the album Chris wrote by himself.

10. There and Back Again - 10/10: It's another hard rock song, but not as hard as "What I Want". Chris has some spine chlling vocals in the verses and he also does some great screaming. Not really much else to say.

11. All These Lives - 10/10: This is another of my favorites. Chris co-wrote it with Mitch Allen. It's about children kiddnappings and Chris is talking to the Kidnapper. It's a very touching song that might take time to grow on you, but hopefully you'll soon love it. It's one of the highlights of the album.

12. What About Now - 9/10: This is the 2nd song Chris didn't help write. It was written by Ben Moody and David Hodges. It's a great ballad and a great album closer (If you have the regular edition). The ending is a great end to the song.

13. Home (Acoustic) (Wal-mart exclusive) - 10/10: It's as great as the original. Chris is accompanied by an acoustic guitar and strings. It makes the song more touching and Chris' voice is a little clearer in this version.

14. Crashed (Acoustic) (Wal-Mart Exclusive) - 9/10: I don't think this is as good as the original, but it's still good to listen to. Chris sings the chorus a little differently which is a nice fresh twist. When it starts out, it might not sound good, but it gets better as the song goes on. '

15. Sorry (I-tunes Bonus) - 10/10: This is a great slow rock song. I really like the lyrics in the bridge. The song has a sort of sad yet happy vibe. It should have been put on the album. The chorus is great to sing along to and it's a great album closer.

Is there any word on what single #2 will be?

I'd like it to be Over You, then Home could be a nice 3rd single.
