Yeah, essentially "Steam for Xbox", except without the insane deals that made it possible for Steam to be such a juggernaut in PC gaming.
Not only that, but the argument here is that the Xbox One was going to bring in the "future" of gaming with its old policies...which would have been a future that few people would have been ready for. The majority of people in the US alone still lack access to a stable broadband connection that can download very large files (which Xbox One games will be) relatively quickly. It would take many people days just to finish the download of a 50+ GB game, let alone play it, and that's before you get into the issue of broadband caps. While the restrictive DRM was always the main issue, the real elephant in the room was always the fact that Microsoft was trying to push the future on a population that clearly isn't ready for it.
