I missed half of the concert as I had to leave at 22:45 to catch my train, and the show didn't finish until 23:30. I think it is disgraceful that she can treat fans like this and only wish I had known in advance as the high cost of the ticket was not worth the disappointment of the show. As for part of the show I did see, it was lacklustre and she left most of the singing to the backing vocals (who, in fairness, were very good). There were only a couple of dancers and they didn't seem to have been choreographed, and Rihanna spent most of the show humping the stage. Very disappointed with the show and I will not be paying to see her again!

Rihanna was a very good singer on the night but it was hugely disappointing in that it lacked energy, atmosphere and enthusiasm. Ri Ri did nt start with a massive hit to get things going. We were expecting a wild amazing night knowing how wild and sassy Ri Ri is. She just came out and did her stuff and then left. We did nt even realise she had finished the concert we thought she had just gone for a costume change then she came back and sang Diamonds for the first time that night and then left. She did nt interact with the audience that much - she did speak to us but she was lacking in motivation and fun- perhaps she is depressed or tired? It was lacking the energy we expected. Infact the last 3-4 songs were the best ones because they were big hits one after the other and the audience got going a bit but before that it was a long anticlimax. We were expecting to be stood up out of our seats for most of the concert but were only stood up for say 25%. considering the price and her success it was v disappointing. late agin manchester MEN - manchester - 12/06/2013 Posted 01/07/2013by fairyg0dm0ther i bought tickets for Rihanna in Manchester for my brother and sister in laws xmas present so I didn't see her myself but just had to write to say how appalled I was that she didn't come on till 10pm when she was due at 8.30. who does she think she is and does she think we all have hard earned money to waste on only seeing part of the concert? They had to leave before the end to get transport home as i'm sure other people did too. they were half expecting a late arrival as they had been told by people next to them she was late the night before and was late again the night after when friends went, this time much later. I have seen far bigger and better bands who never treated their fans like this, it sadly seems to be the norm for these new "stars"!

Only sang a couple of songs all the way through. It felt as though she was just there to get her money and under sufferance. First half was extremely flat. Things got a little livelier when she sang "Umbrella" and picked up a little more towards the end when she sang more popular songs. She arrived on stage late and left abruptly after diamonds song and saying a thank you which felt as though she had been forced to say it more than actually felt. No encore and the set was starting to be dismantled before she probably reached her dressing room. Had a go at the crowd as something was thrown onto the stage and has the foulest mouth - no need! Will definitely not go and see her again and would not recommend. Extremely disappointing. Favourite moment: Listening to David Guetta - who completely upstaged her! As for Rhianna, I thought it was a mistake for her to open with several songs that no one knew, the crowd seemed to be decidedly underwhelmed. Once she started with her more famous tracks the crowd picked up a little, however on a lot of her tracks she was more concerned with dancing erotically and only sang parts of the songs. The set list I thought was poor, as for a huge portion of the show from the start was quite slow. There wasn't much audience interaction for about the first 50 minutes, as most of the songs were not the well known ones and a lot of the crowd seemed to lose interest. It took maybe an hour before the well known tracks were sung, and then the crowd could sing along. For me, some of those songs could've been mixed in with the first half of the set, instead of then singing the well known ones at the end. I thought the stage show wasn't big or anywhere near as show stopping as I thought and she only had a few dancers but nothing major and no real wow factor. Once the concert got going, Rihanna was ok but for me it should've got going long before it did. Second half of concert improved but could've been more of a crowd pleaser from the start & not quite the big stage performance I expected. She didn't come on stage until at least 8.50pm & was done by 10.15 with no encore! She looked out of it for the whole concert, slurring a bit & missing words so along with the rubbish stage set up & poor set list it wasn't great at all. Really disappointing & after spending hundreds to take my daughters, I'd think twice about seeing her again. Definitely the worst concert I've ever been to, and I've been to loads! Real shame Favourite moment: Last 20-30 mins when she actually 'sang' well known tracks! Setlist: Poor! Opening act(s): Missed the support but couldn't have been worse than Rihanna herself!

Rihanna had too many changes of clothes where she left the crowd waiting, she sang too many songs that a lot of the crowd who may not be massive fans but just enjoy her music wouldn't know and just teased the crowd with a few lines from popular songs occasionally. Finally, after 1 hour and 15 mins she decided to sing her chart hits but didn't sing any of them all the way through, it was a 20 minute medley of her popular songs. The lights during this 20 minutes were impressive but not before that. Overall, the last 20 minutes and the 2 songs she sang in the encore were good but the rest was very disappointing and a long time to wait for her to get going. Favourite moment: Going home.

I hate standing, couldn't see, too full on the pitch - we were right at the back but they were the cheapest tickets i could afford. it was quite scary standing but also ive heard it was sitting too as there were fights breaking out all over and drunks just running amok. David Guetta stole the show for me. Rihanna hardly sand, believed to mime her way through the whole concert and only shout out to show her mic was working. Songs were of course great and so was the dancing, but I'm afraid I don't think I'll be going to see her again. a lot of money spent and little given back from a so called superstar!! Diamonds ? Not even Cubic Zirconia! David Guetta was good but Rihanna was shocking! A top "world class" artist surely doesn't need to be miming on stage. She didn't seem interested and seemed tired (for want of a better word) Been to several events at SOL but this was the worst organised with bad atmosphere. Fighting all over the place and security not stepping in. Would never recommend to anyone, nor would I pay 66p never mind £65 to see Rihanna again. Very disappointed! Favourite moment: Going home. This is in NO WAY a flamebait thread, I love Rihanna, but I find this is quite shocking that almost 90% of the reviewers were disappointed and most of them mentioned that the support act, David Guetta, outshined her and he was their favorite moment. What do you guys think? Discuss in a civilized manner.
