I've always wondered why Target is ALWAYS the one to get the exclusive bonus tracks, deluxe editions, and special add-ons. Does anyone know why this is?

Target has a younger consumer base + better promotion and marketing. Wal-Mart gets the exclusives with older acts like AC/DC and The Eagles.

I'd rather have them be Target or Best Buy exclusives than Walmart excusives. Walmart censors their CDs, Kmart is dying,and Circuit City is DEAD.

Also, it makes more sense to get digital purchases on the internet as opposed to hadcopy IMO.

That's simply their marketing strategy I believe they have to make huge contracts with record labels
Actually I think it works A lot of people come to Target just to buy an album, and while they're in the store, they are likely to buy another stuffs too

I don't know really consider them to be 'Target Exclusive' releases. Some of these version releases are the standard ones that Canada gets.

Canada is just getting Target, so we'll see how things will shift with upcoming releases.
