Miley Cyrus fans have started a petition to change the US national anthem 'The Star Spangled Banner' to 'Party in the USA'.
A total of 100,000 signatures are needed for the motion by August 1. If the figure is achieved, the motion can be considered by the White House.
The song was released in 2009 and reached number two on the Billboard 100. It was originally intended for Jessie J.
The 20-year-old star's fans, known as Smilers, have logged the petition on the White House's 'We The People' page.
A fan from Redford, Michigan started the campaign, writing: 'Obama please make Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the USA' our national anthem. It is what is best for this country.'
Only 322 people have so far signed up to the petition, reports The Latinos Post.
