Singer LeTOYA LUCKETT has slammed claims she was hurt by the lyrics to DESTINY CHILD's song SURVIVOR.
The track features Luckett's former bandmate BEYONCE KNOWLES singing the inflammatory lyrics: "You thought that I'd be stressed without you but I'm chillin' / You thought I wouldn't sell without you / Sold nine million". Many believe the lyrics refer to Luckett, who was pushed out of the band in 2000.
However, Luckett not only insists she doesn't know who the song's about, but says she drew strength from its lyrics.
She says, "When I first heard it I didn't know what it was about. I was feeling Beyonce though, because at that time I was like, well shoot, I'm a survivor.
"I've been through so many things in my life and I'm blessed to be standing here today. I still don't actually know who it was about.
"I hope no one would have any bad intentions towards me, but..."

I'm sorry but DUH! It's directed towards you! Beyonce was being a bitch when she wrote that. Letoya should've sang a response.

Everybody knows/thinks it's about LeToya and LaTavia (sp?), but Beyoncé and Kelly were always saying it wasn't.
In recent interviews both of the pushed-out members mentioned they are still good friends with Beyoncé and that everything's just wonderful. It's up to you to believe it.

3. If Kelly and Beyonce denied it was about LeToya and LeToya sued them over it and they settlement out of court, why would she harp on it 5 year afterwards. Sounds like she moved on and took the high road. I wish more people would move on and leave the drama in the past.

Right. As a damn near DC stan and LeToya being no exception, I've pretty much read all her latest articles and interviews and LeToya NEVER anwers like this. She usually says that since they were young, they never talked it out, and now they're cool, ext.
