THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY:
What you need to know about the US Government's secret spy program
This man, Edward Snowden, is wanted by the US Federal Government for espionage/treason. He is a former technical contractor for the NSA: The government's secret program used to collect Internet metadata and phone activity from all American citizens. He leaked top secret documents from the program, and is now seeking asylum from over a dozen foreign nations.
What this means for Americans is:
-The government has access to your Internet history, your text messages, and your phone records
- With the 'metadata' the NSA collects, it can backtrack almost any and every move and decision you have made since 2001
- Furthermore, if you didn't get it by now, your 4th Amendment rights are being violated by the government
Recent developments have shown that the NSA also bugged the European Union offices, which led to a top German official accusing the US of using 'Cold War'-like methods against its' allies. Several tech giants have started online petitions against the unconstitutional program, and the Restore the Fourth campaign has set up over 100 street protests scheduled for July 4th, ironically.

personally, I'm not one who gets involved in political matters but if the government knowingly violated the rights and privacy of every american citizen in secret for more than a decade, there's no telling what else they might do. I just felt like more people needed to know about what's going on, so do with this information what you will.
