The gaping hole below "TRL & Countdown Shows" in the menu might be filled in soon. Joe had an idea to start up a new CD Reviews forum. I don't think that's a great idea on its own (the old CD Reviews forum was dead), so I proposed an "Album Releases" forum instead.

Each thread would be dedicated to a recent or upcoming album release. People would be free to start threads for new albums. I'd set up guides for how to format a new thread. They'd post stuff like the tracklisting, release date, cover art, links to buy/download, and some existing reviews. Then, other people could reply to comment on the album or write their own reviews. It would be a one-stop shop for information on new albums.

I'll see what Joe thinks about that. Thoughts from anyone else in the meantime?

Yes, it is a great idea. In addition we could leave opinions of each song of the album and inspect a troop final, no?

So, Joe said he's working on a different format for the Album Releases forum... something that would organize the information better than a straight out list. I guess we'll have to wait until he's done with that before the new forum can make its debut.

and then

I say we have that Video Game Subforum that's been talked about

I already stated what I felt about the Album Releases forum in the new design thread. As for the Video Game subforum, that I don't see doing too well because while there are avid video game fans on this board, there aren't that many, sort of like with sports, so I think the sub-forum would easily die. Plus, album releases go more with the pf theme, music/pop culture, while a video game focus seems something more suited for the lounge, mostly because there aren't that many threads when it comes to video games.
