The BET Awards was the number one show on cable Sunday, averaging a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating and 7.8 million viewers overall. The show was up over last year's by 6% in viewers and by 5% in young adults.
Probably mostly due to the fact that this is the first year that they had an entire BET Awards weekend that created hype for the awards, which started with a headlining concert from Beyonce.
Combination of good performances by Robin Thicke, Ciara, Chris Brown, Janelle Monáe, Erykah Badu, the Charlie Brown tribute, R. Kelly and many more. Sadly, I can't include Mariah on the list.

Get over yourself. Had it been completely live vocals from Mariah y'all would've LOVED IT, whether lipped or not it was a good PERFORMANCE.
