Absolutely no shade here, since Rihanna is my 36th most played female artist on last fm but is her yearly album release killing her longevity of her previous hits? I seriously can't remember the last time I heard Umbrella or Unfaithful. Rihanna isn't leaving any room for recurrent airplay when she releases a new single every three months. Do you think that at one point it will become a problem? Anything before the Loud era is just a blur to me. Very comparable to Madonna at this point. So many hits and albums but people only remember a few signature hits like Like A Virgin and Vogue.
well yes/no because she releases so much material but I still hear from time to time:
What's My Name?
Only Girl
Umbrella
Pon De Replay
Rude Boy
And I don't think anyone has forgotten completely about Shut Up & Drive, Don't Stop The Music etc... But then again I live in the northeast and am west indian so I don't know if that plays a big factor.

Rihanna is the biggest female act in my country. Her songs are ALWAYS on the radio but never her recurrent hits. I always hear We found Love, What's My Name, Only Girl and Diamonds.
Which is basically the deal for ALOT of artists, she has Umbrella, We Found Love, Stay, Pon De Replay, the list goes on. But then she has other songs like Take a Bow and Rockstar 101 which are forgettable and not remembered.
Yes, and it's because she doesn't let a song sit. She is always on to the next. For instance, We Found Love and Cake would probably be more remembered and used these days but now she has Diamonds and Pour It Up to replace it so those songs aren't as fresh in our minds.
No. They're very memorable, melodic, timeless. The other day I was listening to 'Music of the Sun' and wondering all the hits she could have had on that album if she promoted it much better. Her music is great hits or not so they're memorable.
