News: 13-Year Old Boy Charged with Murdering 5 Year Old Sister

"The 13-year-old reported he started to wrestle with the victim and practiced 'WWE' style wrestling moves on the 5-year-old," Col. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday.

Those moves allegedly included repeatedly slamming the girl on a bed, punching her in the stomach, jumping on her and striking her with his elbow. A coroner's investigation found the girl died of multiple injuries, including broken ribs, lacerations of the liver and internal bleeding.

In a statement released Tuesday, WWE offered condolences to the victim's family but cautioned against attributing the death to its industry.

"Authorities have already charged the accused with second-degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move," the organization said.

"As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death."

The girl was identified by The Times-Picayune as Viloude Louis, of Terrytown, La.

The boy had been left to babysit the girl by his stepmother when the alleged beating occurred, authorities said. After the beating, the girl later complained of a stomach ache. When she stopped breathing, the boy called 911. Emergency responders could not revive her and she was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The boy was taken to a juvenile facility and booked on a second-degree murder arrest warrant after he was interviewed by homicide Detective Matt Vasquez.

The detective said the boy told him that he knew the wrestling moves on TV were fake, but he was smiling and appeared to enjoy talking about them.

"The 13-year-old continued by saying the victim complained that she was hurting, but he continued to slam, punch and elbow her for an additional two or three minutes, stopping when his mother called him on the phone to check on he and the victim," sheriff's officials said in the news release.

Just a tragic accident for everyone involved. Kids are potentially extremely vulnerable when they try to imitate certain behaviors in violent and/or action media. That's what kids (and even many teenagers and young adults) do: watch and repeat.

I understand if he was like 8...but 13?! At 14 you start High School, so he's almost in High School beating up a 5 year old in Kindergaden at most. HE KNEW what he was doing.

He is of the age where he knows right and wrong. He can't be given a slap on the wrist yet, trying him as an adult will do worse damage.

You have to remember he has killed her younger sister, that will be on his mind as well.

The results do sound bizarre. How damn rough were you being imitating wrestling moves (assuming this is a true testimony) with a five year old that she suffered rib and liver injures, and internal bleeding.

I'm only saying don't charge him as an adult.

The Stuebenville rapist boys from not too long ago weren't even charged as adults at 16 and 17 years old (and what they did was also intentional), and they damn well should have been.

i feel like trying him as an adult might be too much, but i mean he was 13 it's not like he's a child who didn't understand. he knew what he was doing and no one should be giving him a reprieve. he deserves to be tried for a homocide. maybe manslaughter, maybe.

The Stuebenville rapist boys from not too long ago weren't even charged as adults at 16 and 17 years old (and what they did was also intentional) after raping the girl, taking and distributing photos, and calling her a ***** on twitter. And they damn well should have been charged as adults.

I wouldn't assume total accuracy on the detective's part on his representation of the boy. And everyone handles things differently even if they may feel the same way. It would be worth much more to actually see the interview footage, if it was recorded (that's standard procedure, isn't it?)
