Chris Brown to support gay rights with new single...
Quote:
Chris Brown has announced plans to release a new single in support of his new Unity campaign.
The singer's latest track aims to stand up for the rights of ethnic minorities and gay people and he hopes it will inspire others to fight discrimination.
"Single and video will definitely drop MONDAY!" Brown tweeted. "The new single is a part of my "UNITY CAMPAIGN" which encourages all races, genders, sexes (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!"
He added: "As a young inspiration to all types of people around the world, I have a moral obligation to let go of grudges or bs"
It is thought that the new single he refers to will be 'They Don't Know', which will feature previously unheard vocals from the late Aaliyah.
The track has been lifted from Brown's upcoming album /X, which is released on July 15 in the UK and a day later in the US.
Even though this is probably a PR thing, someone like Chris Brown standing up for gay rights actually has a good chance to make a lot of impact. Maybe even more so than if a pop girl did it.
