Like Body Party is showing the real Ciara but Ride, 1, 2, Step, Love, Sex and Magic, etc. etc. isn't?
Ciara this is your fifth album. We know you by now. Unless you're reinventing yourself or had some life changing experience then you don't need to be naming your album Ciara. You're not a new artist. It's just kind of boring and lazy to me.
BUT I am interested to hear her new music regardless.

You have a very valid point and I am sure you are correct, but in this situation I feel like that is not 100% applicable. She named the album after herself and that,
to me, symbolizes her discovery of her own personal sound. This is something that represents her to the fullest and so she names it collectively after herself. I don't know if she has mentioned that in an interview or anything because I don't check for her actively, but it feels that way.
While I don't like him, Sean Garrett made the point that Ciara didn't know what her own personal style was until recently because they manufactured her at a young age and she just stuck with it. That was something she had to overcome or she needed to come back to him (smh). I am not coming for you or anything... Just sharing my viewpoint like you did.
In the GrapeJuice interview, she said that Nicki killed her verse on Livin' It Up. I don't know if she was referring to the song or Nicki's verse, but she said "it" is very fun and inspirational or something like that. She also said Nicki did a "double homicide on my album". I feel like this album will ultimately be her best.
