HDD Weakend Top 10: Justin Topping Sales
THIS JUSTIN: YOUR WEAKEND TOP 10: As expected, Justin Timberlake won’t suffer from the sophomore jinx. The pop star will top next week’s chart with his seconde Jive/ZLG album, which could hit 700k. John Mayer’s Columbia album, Continuum, will be #2, with a total that is headed toward 240k, followed by a pair of his labelmates in Beyonce (160-170k) and Bob Dylan (100-110k). Capitol’s first Bob Seger album in 11 years follows with a total just south of 100k. Meanwhile, Universal Republic’s Mars Volta appears headed for a Top 10 debut at #6 (60-65k), followed by fellow label act Hinder (55-60k). Island R&B veteran Lionel Richie’s Coming Home is up next, in a cluster with Epic’s Audioslave and Roadrunner/IDJ’s Nickelback, all in the same 55-60k range. Hollywood’s Grey's Anatomy Vol. 2 (30-35k), Reprise/WB mensa metal band Mastadon (30-35k), Roadrunner/IDJ’s Black Label Society, (30-35k), Solidstate god-rockers Norma Jean (30-35k) and Desperation Records Canadian popsters Barenaked Ladies (20-25k) all in the Top 50 mix. (9/15p)
Was this posted? Anyway looks like my predictions were right on target. & good for Mayer btw. http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi

That's good for J.T., as far as Beyonce, I don't know, I think it was cool that she experimented for a change, but it's no comparison to the pandemonum w/ Dangerously in Love.

B'Day is still doing well. She'll be #3, the real battle starts in October once all the big albums are out.

LMAO at people already counting Bday out as a flop. Get ready to eat your words again just like you always end up doing. Do people not realise that she is part of one of the most anticipated movies for the year? And that she still has a 3rd, 4th and fifth single as well as the tour.

I knew that would happen to Beyoncé lol. 1st week sales for her were based on her name. From now on, the singles will do the job and hers are not that *hot* right now.
She'll eventually hit the 2.5/3 million territory alongside Christina and Justin though .
And Justin will def. have a low decrease next week. He'll sell around 300k and 400k for sure.

Woah @ JT, just cause albums never do that well anymore.
Beyonce dropping so much is not surprizing. She'll probably end up with very high sales do to subsequent singles and publicity. The album should have some strong sustainability a la Breakaway (though, in all likelyhood not for as long), although no comment on what I tihnk this says about the paltry state of American music.
And Norma Jean doing as well as they are ^__^. I streamed the album on myspace last weekend and it's awesome.

Papa Roach aren't even mentioned, although they were supposed to do 35k. Sad, that's a good album.

I don't see why poeple are saying Bee's singles are gonna help her sale, she really doesn't have any more besides "Irreplaceable" and maybe "Upgrade U". I'm sure word will spread faster that her album is, overall, a piece of **** b4 those come out, so I see her seeling 2, 2.5 mil at the most.

Considering that there is 700,000 person bying justin's album at the same time. I think it's a safe drop for beyonce on this week.

Not Correct.
I can't see any song on this album that isn't radio-friendly,and that's the smartest thing about this album. "Freakdum Dress" , "Green Light", "Kitty Kat" .. They all have many fans around. Even though there are some horrible ones ,but they might do pretty well if she released them as singles.
I also have have strong feelings that there's a re-release on the way.

B'Day is not a flop but I do think that it won't be certified 3x Platinum unless it's re-released.
As for FSLS....bullsh!t. I was so hyped in the beginning. I thought the album was one of the year's best but in the end, only half of this album is worth listening to (FSLS, Sexyback, My Love, What Goes Around, Summer Love, Losing You Way, & Another Song). And his arrogance & lack of originality is really pissing me off.
But unfortunately, I see his album selling very well. He'll be flying passed the 3 Million mark. Maybe if we're lucky, he'll piss off even more people and we'll never have to hear from him again. I'm the king of wishful thinking.
