LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cher has a date with NBC's "The Voice."
NBC said Monday the pop star will perform live on the talent contest's June 18 season finale.
She will sing "Woman's World," the first single off her upcoming album of the same name, the network said.
Cher, who turned 67 in May, joins other pop artists who have appeared on NBC's hit series and other TV contests to promote new records. They include "Voice" guest stars Rod Stewart and Lady Antebellum.
Cher's "Woman's World" album, her first in 12 years, is due out later this year.
The Grammy, Oscar and Emmy-winner has scored a No. 1 single on the Billboard pop charts in each of the last six decades, including her 1998 single "Believe."

I agree! It seems so sudden even after fans have been waiting a while for some sort of announcement.
I hope she slays, but I think she will lip-sync, because she always lip-syncs when promoting her singles. She usually only sings live when promoting a tour. It would be quite ironic to lip-sync on The Voice, though.

She shouldn't lip sync and she should give this performance her ALL. Everyone will tune in to see how she handles it and it'll either be praise or end with people dragging her.

I'm excited no matter what she ends up choosing to do.
She even lip synced on Ellen recently when she was on with her mom. I really hope she sings live because she needs to prove to the world why she's the Goddess of Pop.

Yeah, I remember but this performance has SO much more riding on it than that. This is a big deal and there's so much more backlash towards lip sync nowadays, people don't even care if you're a talented performer they'll still mock you for it. (Mariah at AI, Beyonce at the inauguration)
