Something like Foolish and her other singles really wasn't Top 40 friendly at all not even in an crossover sense, but she was able to get away with it since she came out during the urban boom. So she really has literally 0 experience in doing crossover material Or maybe she's going to get lucky and hop on the funk trend if that's what she means by Top 40ish
I don't why she won't just sign a major record deal & stop being independent.
I think Ashanti can comeback but she needs huge label support. Until then she'll keep flopping.

Yeah, shes needs some kind of major label support of some kind to break radio. She cant do that indie. This is likely doomed
