Do you get annoyed when straight people accuse gay people...
...of being too vocal?
It really irritates me when people say that the gay population makes such a big deal out of everything, and they are "too vocal", when you can't walk down a high school corridor without hearing the word 'gay' being described to use something negative.
Of course gay people are going to be vocal about their rights when society targets them so much, even though they are a minority group.
If straight people weren't so obsessed with homosexuality, maybe there would be less of a problem.
(I know I'm generalising here but you know it is true most of the time)

Yes. Just like how I get annoyed by people getting annoyed about feminists/racial minorities getting too vocal.

It is irritating. But, people always say that about any minority. People who aren't minorities think the problems don't really exist because they don't experience oppression themselves.

No, I don't get annoyed by it.. I'm gay, but I also believe that lots of gay people ARE too vocal. A lot of times it's extremely too in your face, and shoving **** down peoples throats is not going to help the cause either. It's one reason I cannot stand Pride, and will never attend Pride or a parade. Most gays go to these things for all the wrong reasons (partying, drugs, sex etc.) and completely lose sight of what really matters. Also walking around in your underwear shoving glitter and rainbows down peoples throats aren't going to help anything either. Sorry if you don't like my opinion, but that's just the way I feel.
On a side note.. I also use the word "gay," and "***" in my normal vocabulary. Words are only offensive if you let them be.

Death at you admitting you've never been to a Pride event and trying to say what they're all about
Boston's pride parade is like 80% churches and employee groups.

If they're generalizing and calling all or most LGBT people too vocal, then yes, I am irritated by it. However, if they're saying certain members of the community or certain practices are too vocal, I completely agree with them. There is a difference between bringing awareness or attention to a subject and shoving that subject down peoples' throats. The latter is simply counterproductive.

And furthermore, do you also feel this way about the straight people who go to Mardi Gras?

The reverse is true too. Why do the homos think that their words are the end all be all and always play the victim role? Cut it out and just don't be ignorant.

Well I don't this, but I think the reason why some straight people accuse gay people if being too vocal and making a big deal out of everything is because they think gay people are trying to push some type of gay agenda out there and wanting special treatment. Some straight people do feel this way. They think gay folks don't to want equality , they just want to turn America out.

I get annoyed when straight people are hot but don't get naked for me. It's a hate crime.

Gay people wouldn't need to be so vocal if they didn't have to shout to be heard.
I'm sure gays would like nothing more than to go about their lives with no hurdles to overcome. I'm sure they'd prefer not to have to fight for their civil rights and happiness. I'm sure they'd even pack in pride if it no longer served a purpose. Gays aren't doing all of this because they're bored or obnoxious. They're vocal because they have something to say, something which needs to be heard.
I feel current generations - including LGBT folk - are incredibly apathetic towards equality. The majority of straight folk who support equality, don't do it actively, and far too many gays seem to think others will fight for them...or that it's kind of boring/irrelevant to them because they're not wanting kids/marriage just yet. If they put in as much effort into fighting for equality as they did bickering about popstars, who knows what difference could be made.
History tells us that you have to fight for change. It doesn't just happen. If straight folk want gays to STFU, go march and campaign for them to speed up the process. We can't do it alone, we're the minority.
