Many people complain. I don't understand why.

Only if it causes any pain or risk of injury to the animals. But it looks very tacky and makes the animal owners look trashy as hell.

Ew. That's really tacky, gaudy and degrading. Animals don't want to be dressed up and painted. They're not barbie dolls.
