Jennifer Lopez LIVE at The Sound of Change (f/Mary J Blige)
1. Live It Up
2. Medley (Get Right/Love Don't Cost A Thing/Jenny from the Block/Hold It Don't Drop It) (@5.10)
3. Come Together (featuring Mary J Blige) (@12.05)
4. On the Floor (@18.40)
AMAZING..Im so impressed with her, omg. For someone who, essentially, cannot sing, shes giving great live vocals...it just works. Not to mention her ability to entertain, the choreo, the energy. Everything is on point. 43 years old and SLAYING. Congrats J.LO
Jen ROCKED that sh!t! That funk dance breakdown thing she did was EPICCCC!
Also it was really refreshing to see her go out of her comfort zone and do that duet with Mary. Obviously Jenny doesn't hold a candle to Mary vocally but I thought they had great chemistry together. The fact that thier actually friends helps aswell.

I still remember Mary J dragging Whitney on that VH1 Special.
Only a few artists can sing with this woman and overshadow her or stay equal to her.
And Jennifer was not afraid, way to go.

We must be remembering different VH1 specials. If you're talking about when she sang "Ain't No Way" with Whitney on Divas Live, I'm going to have to disagree. Whitney grounded that song and Mary J just looked like a frightened little girl standing next to the Voice. But Whitney pretty much owned that whole night, from start to finish.
I think J.Lo did fine with Mary J. She may not have the vocal chops that Mary does but I don't really think Mary is any vocal virtuoso herself. To me, she's always been way too warbly and waaaay too nasal.
Ok so I got around to watching her set ( because I was at work)and OMG she murdered it, she looked on point, thank God no leotard, she looked like a female Steven Tyler in a good way. I like the fact that she sang live and Dancing exactly on point was second to her vocals she was bit more spontaneous, like a rock star
The set list was good, the Urban melody, Get Right, HIDDI,JFTB, LDCAT, was incredible, I like the fact she did not go hard on the cheography during Get Right, it would have been predictable, it’s like watching Bey perform Single Ladies for the billionth time, you know what’s going to happen
The HIDDI dance breakdown like seriously, EPIC, that’s all
The Intro 1st song LIU was a bad choice to open up her set with, it should have been Lets Gets Loud it would have showed her versatility as a performer and artist if she added this song performing a Latin song, then the urban melody then finishing it off with a Dance song
OTF was great but I believe she should have performed WFT just before the FINALE that was OTF
Her duet with Mary J Blige was an eye opener, just based on the fact that she has proved once again she can sing, dance and perform and change it UP
It speaks volumes that the HEADLINER Beyoncé did not collaborate with no female artist (no her all female band dont count) at the show, despite the show being about Female empowerment, and Jennifer did knowing damn well she is not the powerhouse vocalist that Mary is, more props to Jennifer
This is probably my fave performance of hers next to Ain’t it Funny at the TOTP awards 2001 and her Louboutans performance at So You think You can Dance
J-Lo Heats Up London's Sound Of Change Concert
REVIEW: 'Live It Up' star raises the roof with special guest performer...
00:14, Sunday, 2 June 2013
Another A-list guest on Saturday's Sound Of Change's immense line up at Twickenham Stadium was the one and only girl from the block Jennifer Lopez. MTV had already witnessed Florence + The Machine, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, HAIM and an impromptu performance from Jessie J at this gig but the fun had only just begun…
Feelling: Things were certainly cranked up a notch as J-Lo stepped on stage with the energy levels on stage transmitted to the crowds below and all around the stadium.
The Look: Not letting the stuffy Britain's Got Talent viewers get her down, J-Lo carried off thigh-high, studded leather boots and a skimpy, spangly black outfit (below) while her dancers added a level of theatricality equipped with handheld smoke guns and strobe lights.
Tunes: Opening with her current single Live It Up - bowled into a medley section featuring a verse and chorus each of Get Right, Love Don't Cost A Thing, Jenny From The Block and Hold It, Don't Drop It. Her Lambada-sampling Pitbull-collabbing hit On The Floor made sure anyone not on their feet yet was well and truly up and dancing by the end of her set.
Banter/Special Guests: As Jen toned things down a bit with the familiar riff of The Beatles' Come Together ringing out, the star mused: "Do you believe that one person in the world can make a change? I believe that. But when we come together we can all do amazing things."
Little did the crowd realise that while it was a poignant message for today's proceedings it was also an introduction for RnB legend Mary J Blige to walk on stage! The duo diva'd off with each other for Come Together and the crowd couldn't get enough.
Celeb Spots: Ummm MARY J BLIGE!
Sweat Factor: The temperature sure was raised during this performance. Judging by how long the smoke cannons went on for the crowd needed a good blast of air to dry off!
Summary: Ms Lopez has a catalogue of pop hit-after-hit behind her and it sometimes takes a feel-good, energetic greatest hits snapshot ilke today to realise it. This woman has still got the moves, is still as hot as ever and, In the words of Simon Cowell, "That was a world-class performance."
MTV Rating: We seem to be doling these out a lot today but…
