Depends on where you are in the world. In some countries, its against the law to be gay. In countries like the US where its become apart of the sociopolitical discourse its less taboo, but its not completely not taboo either.
It really depends on the country/region. Like people already said, in some places saying you like the same gender is seen as trendy and a good thing and it makes you seem ~cooler~. Then in others, being gay is literally against the law.
For the people here saying no.....Just do this , grab your male/female partner/friend just for three blocks and you will see , what the world thinks about gays.
